UK Cables limited enforce Standard Practise Instructions known as SPI’s which control all key processes, without restriction, across the company. These SPI’s protect UK Cables and its customers in the same way that any ISO accreditation does. The processes are reviewed regularly and updated to ensure that UK Cables operate in the most effective and environmentally friendly way. These processes set the standard expected from any UK Cables location and strengthen the first class customer service that UK Cables provide today.
Product Quality
UK Cables form strategic relationships with suppliers and, using the SPI’s, ensure that all product is manufactured and delivered in line with company policy and to European or British Standards. All product is quality tested and inspected on delivery to the warehouse and is stored in accordance with BS 8512:2008

The British Approvals Service for Cables or BASEC is approved by UKAS and are the leader in product certification services for electrical cables, data and signal cables and ancillary products, BASEC has a reputation for quality, clarity and ensuring safety in cables.
ISO
ISO 9001 is one of the standards within the range of ISO 9000 standards. ISO 9001: 2008 standards replaced the previous ISO 9001: 2000 and its objective is to provide quality management systems for all organisations large or small and covers all sectors, including charities and the voluntary sector.
RISQS
The ‘Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme’ (RISQS) has been developed from the GB rail industry’s Link-up scheme to provide a fair, open and transparent third party qualification process, with the aim of becoming the preferred route for suppliers to engage with their customers, in an efficient and effective manner.
BCA
The British Cables Association (BCA) is the trade association for British Manufacturers and Associate Companies manufacturing insulated cables, wires and accessories.
TSE
